Your Opportunity

As a Senior Inventory Analyst, you will work with merchants to plan inventory for assigned merchandise categories. You will forecast demand, manage replenishment, and help maintain the right inventory levels to support sales and meet in-stock and inventory turn targets.

 

You will work closely with stores, vendors, transportation, and fulfillment centers to address inventory needs/issues, review category results, and improve day-to-day supply chain processes.

What You’ll Do - Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Merchandising to plan, align and execute purchasing strategy.
  • Own forecasting and replenishment parameters — safety stock, reorder points, order quantities, lead time assumptions — and tune them by item and location based on demand variability and service targets.
  • Monitor inventory health across the network: weeks of supply, in stock levels, supplier performance, excess, obsolete, and aged inventory. Proactively surface risk to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Develop and adjust item forecasting to drive goal-driven stock levels within budgetary requirements.
  • Manage orders, replenishment, and inventory throughout product lifecycle.
  • Review category and promotional results, identify gaps, and recommend changes to improve sales and inventory productivity.
  • Work with vendors on timely and accurate execution, ensuring optimal supplier performance.
  • Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support stores and field leaders with holiday plans, advertising, and new business initiatives.
  • Identify and support improvements to demand planning, purchase orders, supplier forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain processes.

What We’re Looking For – Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Admin., or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of related retail, inventory management., or replenishment experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze data, spot and act on trends, determine root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to make decisions with general direction and take responsibility for results.
  • Flexible, results-focused approach to changing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with different teams.

Nice to Haves – Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools, Manhattan / DFIO or other inventory replenishment systems.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Access.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
