Title Processor

Position Summary

The Title Processor is responsible for being a subject matter expert for titles, reviewing inbound requests for completeness and accuracy. You will act as liaison between third-party lenders and their customers, national DMVs, and ELT Vendors to process titles throughout the life of a loan.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities 

  • Act as liaison between third-party lenders and their customers and DMVs to perfect incorrect lien information.
  • Receive title paperwork and process all incoming title requests for third party lenders serving as the Subject Matter Expert for title questions.
  • Organize and keep record of original titles and paperwork for active bank customers.
  • Help oversee various tasks at the request of third-party lenders and other service providers including tracking, updating, and reporting title details, releasing titles to bank customers upon full payment transfers of title, and assisting in sale of vehicles, if necessary.
  • Provide superior support service utilizing internal processes. May also assist in providing additional services to third party lenders.
  • Audit and review email communication and requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage the Title Delivery Letters (“TDLs”) for all paper title requests and service.
  • Service all questions in the Title Questions Inbox.
  • Answer inquiries or concerns by phone or email and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 1+ year in Vehicle Title Processing
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and process-driven
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • 10-key experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work during hours of operation and maintain a full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week with regular, predictable attendance
  • Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
