Position Summary

The Contractor - Store Support Accountant is responsible for completing traditional accounting responsibilities timely and accurately, including daily balancing and monthly close responsibilities, account reconciliations, and journal entries. This contractor will work heavily in cash and bank reconiliations. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient management of company’s bank accounts
  • Maintain and manage financial records, logs, spreadsheets, and registers
  • Assist business in managing its treasury function
  • Prepare analytical reports as needed
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); Some College Preferred.
  • 1 year accounting related experience.
  • General understanding and working knowledge of basic accounting principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate accounting-related information on paper, in conversation, and to audiences with varying levels of understanding.
  • Ability to gather, arrange, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to formulate conclusions and recommended actions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking and organization skills.
  • Strong initiative and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong customer service orientation with both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated a desire and ability to learn.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
